Role Requirements and Qualifications
The following outlines the education, qualifications, and experience we look for in our database and data platform professionals – the foundation for delivering the high standards our clients expect from Ascent Technology.
- Principal Database Consultant (all criteria for Database Consultant/Administrator plus)
- At least 5 years experience in database administration
- Detail knowledge of Clustering, Replication and Partitioning
- In depth understanding of relevant Database Technology architecture
- Strong performance tuning abilities including code optimizations
- Problem Solver
- Database Consultant/Administrator
- At least 3 years experience in database administration
- Detail knowledge of Integration and Reporting Services (if MS-SQL)
- In depth understanding of relevant Database Technology architecture
- Strong T-SQL or PL/SQL abilities
- Problem Solver
- Vendor Certification in Database Administration is advantageous
- Proficient in Unix/Linux (if Oracle)
