New Internship Programme kicks off
As of 1st April 2009, Ascent Technology’s latest internship programme began, with a further five new interns brought on board. The programme is a Microsoft – focused one, which will see these students trained to be database administrators, under the watchful eye of Ascent’s Abdulla Peck.
The initiative takes approximately 6 – 8 months to complete, and our intent is to run one such programme per year. This is, in fact, Ascent’s fifth programme of this kind, and we hope to replicate our previous success and keep all five interns on as permanent staff members at the end of the programme.
Despite this year’s programme having just begun, plans are already afoot to begin yet another eight month internship course with new, young and eager recruits in the near future, and Ascent already looks forward to them successfully completing their internship and moving on to greater things.
